Lemme see, my dad is learning on a 486DX2-50, 8Mb, Win 3.11,
Office 4.3 all a basic computer needs really. There is no way I'll let
my dad on the internet just yet, when i left him he was struggling
on the mouse tutorial....

I am developing a peice of software (dos and linux compatible) for
text processing that uses the printers own optimised fonts and
effects to print out on. I am hoping to keep the program well under
64k so it is a portable program with the only thing needed is the
source text file (using something similar to HTML tags for code
selection) so I can have maximum portability what ever the system
I am on: Linux, DOS, Windows, maybe other o/s if I ever get hold
of the C compilers for them...

I know what you mean.... Bill Gates we thank you for cheap,
powerful hardware... I think... well I call £60 for a new m/b and
450Mhz chip cheap anyway.
