It's obviously the result of something using the port which auth wants to
use. I've never used the program you spoke of, so perhaps it's holding onto
the auth port?

I've never had any problems with the standard figerd which comes with Linux.
As for problems in yours, that's an issue between you and it's
documentation, I think, unless someone else on the list has experience with
it.
