Re: [Sheflug] INTERNET CONNECTION

obtain, install & use wvdial - htis will detect the modem & it's optimal
setup strings and is really easy to get going with multiple ISPs. It also
handles dynamic dns servers.

Sendmail is fairly easy to configure (smtp server for sending mail & local
mail delivery) and fetchmail has a graphical config tool
(fetchmailconf) but once you've seen a working fetchmail config file
you'll never need a GUI to set up another :)

If you use KDE, kfm is also a useful web browser. Netscape is a bit of a
monster, so steer clear of it if you can.
