Re: [Sheflug] ftp problem

Thanks Stephen and Barrie,

I'm sure you're right but I give up - I can't find reference to ftpd
anywhere. I looked in linuxconf under 'basic services' and found that ftp
wasn't listed in the 'server' section and so added it ( I think correctly -
path to /usr/bin/ftp with an argument of 'ftp') - restarted the machine, but
still didn't see any mention of ftpd starting. I then tried to install
anonftp but that told me that 'ftp server' was required. I have tried a text
search on my machine for ftpd with no luck and similarly in the rpms on the
CD. Is this maybe something which hasn't got compiled into the kernel or is
it (hopefully) simpler than that? Thanks

Ian
