There was a dedicated channel, on RedHat I don't see it. It's not there,
believe me.

Nope, no use :-) I used RC successfully on RedHat, so naively installed
that. It doesn't work. helix-update is gone, and you can't reinstall it.
I downloaded the Ximian package list :
http://red-carpet.ximian.com/debian/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
Unzipped it.
cat Packages | grep Package | less
No task packages. No helix-update. It's screwed, basically. Ximian shouldn't
have released for Debian yet, it's as simple as that. I'll be apt-get'ing
monkeytalk and talking to the monkeys I think..

.10 has been out for ages. The splash is a guy with glasses, something about
new horizons. It's very good. Unavailable on Debian, used to be only
available through RedCarpet, but it's gone (AFAIK). It's noticeably better
than 0.9, something for you to look forward to..
