You should be using the smart host provided for you by your ISP then :)
Freeserve have (at least) two automagical routing schemes I know about -
they automagically redirect outgoing mail connections to their smart host,
and they automagically redirect web requests to a web proxy. Hence, stuff
like:
telnet 10.1.1.1 80
. always connects* :(
Kind of a sucky setup, but I understand their reasoning. Is this to do with
the stuff your experiencing (you didn't make it clear whether this was a
sudden change for you, whether it's always been like this, etc..)?
