Watch out for minor NMBD/Netbios lookup problems that may not 
actually exist.  2.0.8 was a lot friendlier.  2.2 was okay as well 
but I've had similar problems with it.

Don't know about online docs :)  The security options are enabled by 
/etc/smb.conf and the lines that you put into it.  You also - 
obviously - have to do 'smb passwd -a' and all that.

The book that did it for me for was the Sybex one.  Linux Samba 
Server Administration.  Roderick W. Smith.  ISBN  0-7821-2740-1.  
Read all the others but didn't really understand anything until I 
read this one.

You should find that if you have a rally bad problem that you can't 
sort out then you can subscribe to the Samba list and someone - even 
the SGI labs - will sort you out.  There are something like 2000 
people on that list. It's not high volume.  You won't be snowed under 
with e-mail.
