Easiest way I know to set up Samba is with linuxconf - should be on your
distro CD somewhere.
Otherwise read the /etc/smb.conf file very carefully and select suitable
options. The NT side is just really setting up disk shares, sorting out
whether you are going to use plain or encrypted passwords (if plain there
should be a little prog on the distro CD under 'tools' or 'utils' to modify
the registry for you but, again, read the smb.conf) and editing the Hosts
file on the NT machine to tell it about the other machines on your net.
