Yet more woes.

I've done a clean install of SuSE 8.0 on a couple of boxen but on starting 
KDE, an alert box popped up informing me that it couldn't find /dev/dsp and 
so was using /dev/null as the sound output device. This is despite the 
installation correctly recognising the onboard sound device (CMI8330).

Any ideas?
