I have installed Lycoris a while ago (used to be Redmond Linux),
and I was very surprised: I didn't not even feel the need for a
console (except for sshing into my Uni account to check my mail). I
can't speak for Xandros et al., but Lycoris has a nice small selection
of packages, and is simple to use. File associations work off the box,
which is one of those things people should care more about. Anyway, to
save google bandwidth, http://www.lycoris.org.

Of course, whoever cracks having an Office replacement that runs
fine on 32 Mb... :-) <sarcasm>We'll probably end up having OOo for
GNOME and OOo for KDE, and a little project tyring to port OOo to
WindowMaker</sarcasm>

    Cheers,
    José
