Promise will never be supported fully under Linux, unless Promise sort
themselves out. The guy who would develop the driver would have to sign
Satan's own NDA to get specs out of them, and he has more sense than
that. If you want to run Linux, don't buy Promise, essentially.
Hopefully that message will make them change their mind!

Coolio. Let me know how it goes, I'm interested in your experiences with

I have no experience of the card, but I would say if it's working now,
and you care about the data on it, don't bother upgrading. At least
unless you have a) the version of the BIOS you are currently on, or b)
an excellent set of backups :)
