Re: [Sheflug] Thunderbird & Automounting issues Kubuntu 5.10

Hi Monster,

Hello,

I'm running Kubuntu 5.10 (Breezy Badger) successfully now for a few weeks and i seem to have cracked most of my niggle issues.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with this particular distro.

However i have an external USB drive with my MP3's/Ogg on, how can i automount this when i load Kubuntu?

I have installed AutoFS but this doesn't seem to be anywhere (ie i can't type it in as a Run Command) plus there's no Menu Option for it.

Try the following link and a 'man autofs'...

Secondly i'm using Thunderbird for my email client. I installed it using Adept and it put it into the menu's etc, but when there's a URL link (such as the shelflug link below) nothing happens when i click it? What's going on here?

I too use the excellent Thunderbird mail client. Have you tried holding down the Ctrl key whilst clicking on the URL? Perhaps Thunderbird is preventing the link from opening due to security settings or maybe you have some form of pop-up protection running on your computer. Pop-up protection could be integrated into your web browser.

Thanks in advance and i apologies if these answers are fairly obvious, i've done google searches and been hit by walls of 'It should work'.

Thanks
Colin
