Well I've not tried this for very long, but currently typing this from
a LiveUSB version of Eeebuntu NBR 2, running on my 4Gb EeePC.

Desktop booted without a problem (don't know how long it took as I was
away from the computer whilst it happened).

Hotkeys seem to work fine (volume, brightness).

No obvious support for the webcam - I just tried to install cheese,
but in the process it killed Firefox, the netbook front-end (normal
desktop is still available behind it) and the network manager, so I'm
now finishing this email on my main PC.

Worth playing with a bit more, but I really want to sort out how to do
a proper backup of everything on my Eee, before I wipe Xandros from it
(I currently use rsyc to copy my 'home' folder onto my desktop, but I
guess I should use 'dd' to make a proper system backup before wiping
everything, including all my customisations).
