Re: Zip Drives & all that malarkey




 OK.

 I`m even more confused now.

 As I mentioned in the other thread I posted tonight, I`ve set up my
flatmates printer on my parallel port, to see if the port is dead.

 Printer is fine. Nay bother at all.
 Zip drive isn`t.

 I tried my flatmates zip drive (including changing the cable, and using
his disks as well) and got the same problem with his drive.

 Now, I`ve managed to write varying quanities of info to the drive.
Sometimes 6Mb, sometimes 60Mb.
 No matter how much, it always ends with the same problem - I/O errors,
and the drive locking up - forcing a reboot.

 Please! Help!

 What on Earth is going on?
