Haven't got a clue about this one... Do sounds bilp around? Can
you play MP3s? Maybe you need to get rid of KDE's sound effects
(guessing here)?

Are you sure you have the proper configuration? This means that
(probably!), lilo can't find /boot/map. Do you have this set-up in
/etc/lilo.conf. There should be a line pointint to the map file.
Something like:
map=/boot/map

I don't use suse, so I don't know whether /boot/map is the right
file. Also, I would have guessed that yast does it all for you. Anyway,
if you make sure that (a) the file exists and (b) it's recognised
happily by lilo.conf, as root try typing /sbin/lilo with your boot
floppy in the drive. Make sure that you only have a single entry in
/etc/lilo.conf (namely, the floppy), otherwise, you risk making the
system unbootable.

Debian uses mkboot instead of mkbootdisk. Try to find where
mkbootdisk lies (try as root, bound to be in the the root's path and not
in the user's path by default).

Hmmm. This is easily solveable, but could sound a bit
intimidating :) I'm sure that suse/yast will have a better way, but you
can try doing the following as root. First find a suitable directory for
you to mount the cd (usually, /cdrom or /mnt/cdrom or similar), and then
simply do
mount /dev/hdb -t vfat /mnt/cdrom

	That should do it.

On the web downloader, chances are that you have a little util
called wget in your system... I don't know what LF's web downloader
does, but I'm sure wget can do the same :)

	Hope this helps,
	José
