yep.... it's cups making pppd dial out on demand (nothing to do with igmp....
isp didn't know what i was talking about... can't complain really as i didn't
know that much myself :-)
the out going packet (every 30 seconds).......
20:26:18.769674 213.104.199.226.631 > 255.255.255.255.631: udp 104
i've proven that cupsd is holding my demand dialing line open....
i now need to find a way of stoping or filtering this.....
i have tried editing the cupsd.conf file, it has a 'keep alive' option so i
swithed this off.... no effect! there doesn't seem to be any other relevant
option.....
does anyone have any experiance with cups and if so can you advise me as to
how i can stop these out going packets.... the man pages are imformative but
give a limited explanation of the options?
