Well, I've taken everything out and put the network card back in
again. Can't ping 192.168.1.3 from the gateway and can't ping
192.168.1.1 from the notebook. That's without the ISDN card
configured. So, don't know what to do. I even tried an unnecessary
reboot just to make sure and that didn't do it either. I know that
the hardware is ok so that's not a problem.
I think the only thing left now is to completely re-install.
Oh dear :(
