Fair enough. Need to think again about the ISP for my pages then. But of

I'll have a look then. But I think Perl is more my thing. I'm at novice
level

I suppose clip-art will always be crap. No substitute for decent graphic
design,
which costs of course.

Oh, I use CVS. Horrible syntax. Oh, so some servers run CVS and I should
be able to use a "cvs export" command directly? I'll have to look into it
more.

Thanks a million for your advice, guys. I see that it would be possible for
me to
develop a decent authoring environment, but I guess I won't find the time
to do it for quite a long time. Not when I can't even work out how to get
the
printer daemon running again or find the time to recompile the kernel to
allow me to actually use the CD writer I've bought...
