I would recommend PostgreSQL or MySQL if you want to use databases for all
but the most demanding stuff. (There are some extremely large sites run
Postgres)

There is a lack of good software for publishing websites on Linux IMO.
There's big server side setups like Zope and Midgard, and the standard
"beefed up text editor with new toolbar not really any better than using
emacs" type design packages.

Oh well. Never mind. Keeps web designers in a job. :)
