Hehe. I know I'll probably be berated for saying this, but I don't have
anything against HTML email. I have no wish to read *ugly* mail, but to
be honest I don't find that HTML has much to do with that. Pink/purple
backgrounds are somewhat in the ugly category, though ;)

Correct as far as I know, certainly true of the Fastrak stuff. You used
to be able to upgrade an Promise card to raid just by jumpering something
and flashing the firmware, IIRC.
The Highpoint stuff looks interesting, although I think some of their
stuff is also software RAID - don't quote me on that though :) I would
be interested to know how well they work though, because it's an appealing
concept.
