[Sheflug] gnome-panel crash

In case anyone else experiences this, the solution is as follows:

When the gnome-panel crashes, and you click Ok, there's about half a
second after it restarts before it crashes again.

You have to seize this moment to quickly try and drag the panel to
the bottom of the screen; it may take several tries.  This is easier
if you drag the dialogue box over to the menu bar and down to the
bottom of the screen.

If you succeed, it won't crash and you can drag it to the vertical
position without problems - Though you'll have the same problem next
time you startx.
