ps -ef | grep rpm

kill -9 <process id's of rpm>

rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__*

rpm --rebuilddb

This is what seems to be the *standard* work around- not seen it for a
while on Psyche - but it's a regular event in the beta of psyche. I've
not had an experience where the above didn't fix things.


Advice did fly around the mailing list at one time that the cure was to
simply reboot!
