That's my site :-)

You have to upload a firmware image every time you initialise the card in any 
case, I just spent some time finding out which combination of firmware and 
kernel module work best.
Following those instructions should get you up and running.

That's what happens if you're not uploading any firmware into the card. 
[K]Ubuntu doesn't include the necessary firmware for this card, so you'll 
have to download it from elsewhere (there's a link on my blog entry linked 
above).
