Because setup is now different, I altered fstab to reflect the changes.
Mandrake 8.0 took no notice of the altered fstab & kept trying to boot
(failing) with the old fstab settings. Using rescue disk showed that fstab is
as it should be now but Man8.0 does seem to refer to it? Tried a reinstall
using Redhat 7.1. Failed, saying no such file or directory? Tried reinstall
with Man 8.0, all ok. I've not attached hdparm message (looks ok I think) to
save space.
Thanks all,
Peter C.
